The Man Who Wasn't There is a comedy from 1983, directed by Bruce Malmuth. Sam Cooper (Steve Guttenberg) is a low level United States government worker, soon to wed Amanda (Morgan Hart). Sam and his friend Ted (Art Hindle) are on their way to the wedding, when a series of events occur, all ending with a dying spy giving Sam a strange looking silver sphere. Sam discovers that the sphere contains a bluish liquid, and soon enough finds out that this top-secret liquid can make people disappear. Good guys, bad guys, Naval Officers, Russians, and any number of other characters all trying to get the top-secret liquid start chasing Sam. To get away from all this, and avoid his irate fianc''e who was left at the altar, Sam takes some of the liquid and becomes invisible. Instead of helping the situation things actually get worse for Sam; now he contains the top-secret invisible antibodies, and everybody wants him, dead or alive.moreless
