Movie Summary

Director:
John Frankenheimer
Released:
1962
Rating:
TV-PG

Raymond Shaw is a hero of the Korean War - and a ticking bomb. The heroic incident which won him the Congressional Medal of Honour never happened; Raymond and the other members of his patrol were captured and then elaborately brainwashed at a secret facility in Manchuria. The others, including Raymond's superior and only friend, Marco, were brainwashed into believing that he had bravely rescued them; Raymond has been further conditioned to respond to a sequence of codes which will make him become, when required, a murderous automaton who will kill without compunction or any subsequent memory. But why? And who will be his target?
