The Manitou is a horror movie that centers on Karen (Susan Strasberg), a woman who is admitted to the hospital with a tumor on her neck that will not stop growing. The doctors x-ray the tumor, and find what they believe to be a fetus growing inside of it. Karen's boyfriend, Harry Erskine (Tony Curtis), is a psychic who begins to notice odd events occurring around him. With the help of other psychics, Harry discovers that the fetus inside of Karen's neck is actually the reincarnation of Misquamacas (Felix Silla), a Native American medicine man who is seeing revenge against white people for the extermination of Native Americans. His plan is to take over Karen's body so he can get his revenge. Harry hires a Native American shaman in order to stop Misquamacas from killing Karen and taking over her body. Will Misquamacas' powers prove to be too strong for Karen to survive? To find out, watch The Manitou.
