The Maze is a 3-D science fiction and horror film released in 1953 and directed by William C. Menzies. Kitty Murray (Veronica Hurst) is very excited about her engagement to the handsome Gerald McTeam (Richard Carlson) when suddenly Gerald is called to visit Scotland to claim his inheritance. After not hearing from Gerald for weeks on end, Kitty heads to the Scotland highlands with her aunt (Katherine Emery) to find her fianc''. Gerald is holed up in his family's eerie castle, and after he refuses to see Kitty, she is determined to find out exactly what is causing this change in her betrothed. When Gerald allows Kitty to meet with him, she is shocked at his appearance. Gerald has aged dramatically over a very short period of time. Kitty is drawn to the spooky maze of hedges within the castle's garden. Will the answer to the McTeam secret lie within the maze?
