The Million Dollar Duck is the story of a scientist, his son and their miraculous pet duck. Albert Dooley (Dean Jones) is a professor who works with animals in a lab. There is an especially dumb duck there who, at one point, finds itself in the x-ray room. The duck is exposed to radiation, and, because of the antics in the x-ray room, will be put to death. Dooley does not want to see the duck put down, so he takes it home for the family to keep as a pet. His son, Jimmy (Lee Montgomery), and the duck soon become good friends. Then one day the family notices that the duck has layed a golden egg. Soon, Professor Dooley is obsessed with trying to create a way to use the animals at the lab for monetary gain. Will his greed tear him apart from his family or will he come to his senses and recognize his actions are hurting his family?moreless
