The Money Jungle was released in 1968 and is about the 'accidental' death of four geologists. Less than a week before five companies submit offshore drilling bids, four of the companies geologist's end up dead due to some sort of accident. Harvey Sheppard (Charles Drake), president of Far West Oil, one of the four oil companies targeted becomes suspicious. He decides to hire a private investigator named Blake Heller (John Ericson). Heller gets side-tracked by Sheppard's neighbor, Treva Saint (Leslie Parrish), when he becomes romantically interested in her but continues to investigate professionally. During a conversation he has with a stock broker named Harry Darkwater (Don Rickles), Heller finds out that stock, from two of the oil companies involved, had recently switched owners. One of the owners is a women named Peggy Lido (Lola Albright), the other is Treva. Heller also discovers that these two have sinister connections to each other and fears that one of the women's lives could be in danger. He knows he needs to react quickly. His only hope now is that he can get to her house before it's too late.
