Rating:
The Music Box Kid is a crime drama about 1920s gangsters in New York City. It is the story of young gangster Larry Shaw (Ron Foster) as he quickly rises through the ranks of the New York mob. Shaw begins as a bootlegger and escalates to more serious crimes. He is so successful that he branches out on his own. He starts a murder-for-hire organization that quickly runs afoul of rival gangs. Shaw begins kidnapping other gangsters for ransom. Shaw's criminal activity is a betrayal for his wife, Margaret Shaw (Luanna Patten), who had believed he was a successful insurance salesman. When she finds out she is pregnant, Margaret is torn about what to do. Her priest, Father Gorman (Dayton Lummis), advises her to stay for the sake of her baby and to put her husband back on the right path. Still, Shaw continues his reign of violence and terror that disturbs even his fellow gang members. The Music Box Kid is a taut drama about the life of a gangster in Prohibition era New York City.moreless
