The Naked Gun 2 1/2: The Smell of Fear is the second laugh out loud installment in the hilarious franchise from Paramount Studios. Back is Lt. Frank Drebin (Leslie Nielsen, Forbidden Planet, Creepshow) Police Squad, as the intrepid detective who gets results and drives his boss crazy. Since the first film, Drebin has parted company with his beloved Jane (Priscilla Presley, Elvis's former wife) who has now taken up with her suave boss Quentin Hapsburg (singer Robert Goulet, Beetlejuice), owner of a large corporation Drebin finds is doing shady dealings in order to keep oil as American's primary source of fuel. As he works to get Jane back from Hapsburg's oily clutches, Drebin, along with his comedic cohorts Nordberg (O.J. Simpson) and Ed (George Kennedy, The Dirty Dozen) try to thwart Hapsburg's plan to discredit the findings of a crippled scientist, Dr. Meinheimer (Richard Griffiths, Sleepy Hollow) that would put Hapsburg's company out of business.
