The Naked Street is the story of Rosalie Regalzyk (Anne Bancroft) and her meddling mobster brother, Phil Regal (Anthony Quinn). Rosalie finds herself pregnant by former boyfriend, Nicky Bradna (Farley Granger), but he finds himself on death row for murder. Phil decides that Nicky and Rosalie need to be married, so he uses his influence to get Nicky freed from prison. After his release, Nicky and Rosalie get married and everything is fine for a short time, but once the baby is still-born, Nicky resumes his carousing ways. This makes Phil mad, so he decides to meddle some more. This time he has Nicky framed for a murder. Nicky confesses to the original murder, so the police will go after Phil for his original plan of helping Nicky escape. The Naked Street's many twists and turns rest upon the family values of one mobster and his desire to rectify a situation gone wrong.
