The Navajo Kid is a 1945 western starring perennial movie cowboy Bob Steel as a man on a hunt for justice. As a child, the hard life of the west separated Tom Kirk (Bob Steele) from his family, leaving him in the hands of the Native Americans who raised him to manhood. Years later, the adult Tom, the Navajo Kid, finds his adoptive father murdered and missing his ring and watch. He sets out to punish the man responsible. The trail leads him to Canyon City, Texas, where a gambler called Honest John Grogan (I. Stanford Jolley) awaits in possession of the stolen goods. Tom believes he has caught his man red-handed, but Sheriff John Grogan (Edward Cassidy) knows better. Little does Tom realize that the clues he uncovers on this mission will lead him to a notorious gang leader, Matt Crandell (Stanley Blystone), and to the truth about his real father.
