The Night Train to Kathmondu is an adventure film made in 1988, which was directed by Rob Wiener. Jeff (Robert Stoeckle) and Maureen (Jan Pessano) McLeod decide to leave their California lifestyle and travel across the globe to Nepal for some adventure. Their teenage children, Lily (Milla Jovovich) and Andrew (Tim Eyster), are not very happy about going to Nepal because they do not want to leave their friends behind. Lily's viewpoint changes significantly when she meets a handsome boy named Joharv (Eddie Castrodad), who she meets on the train. Believing that he is homeless, Jeff and Maureen hire Joharv to be a servant boy and they soon learn of an interesting map that the boy has in his possession. Jeff, being an anthropologist, thinks that the map will led them to the infamous "City that Never Was" and the five of them set off for the adventure of a lifetime.
