The Object of My Affection is a 1998 romantic comedy film starring Jennifer Aniston and Paul Rudd. Nina Borowski (Aniston) is at a party thrown by her stepsister Constance (Allison Janey) and her husband Sidney (Alan Alda) where she meets George Hanson (Paul Rudd). George is informed by Constance that his boyfriend is planning on breaking up with him and that leads him to decide to take a room in Nina's apartment. Nina and George become good friends and Nina eventually discovers that she is pregnant. Her boyfriend Vince (John Pankow) becomes overbearing and Nina decides to break up with him. Nina and George then raise the child in their apartment together. Nina starts to believe she is in love with George and thinks she may be able to get him to go against his homosexual instincts. George is called by his ex-boyfriend and Nina meets a new man named Paul (Amo Gulinello). At Thanksgiving Paul and George end up sleeping together which causes problems for George and Nina. Nina explains her feelings to George, but he does not feel the same way. She asks him to move out of her apartment so she can raise her child and find someone who can love her.moreless
