The Oblong Box is a 1969 British horror film starring Vincent Price in a chilling tale about a bloody feud between two depraved brothers that leads them and everyone around them into a deadly game of violence, voodoo, and lies. Price plays Julian, an obstinate man plagued by guilt for what he's done to his brother, Sir Edward Markham (Alister Williamson). Years ago, Julian and Sir Edward ran into some trouble with African natives while visiting the jungle. Julian killed an African child, and the natives, confusing the brothers, cursed Sir Edward. The curse has left Sir Edward badly disfigured, his face so grotesque that Julian keeps him locked in his room. Sir Edward devises a plan to fake his own death and thus escape. Once free from his brother's control, he begins a bloody quest for vengeance that spells doom for everyone involved. The Oblong Box is a terrifying film, sharing its title with a story by the master of American horror, Edgar Allen Poe.moreless
