The Octagon is a 1980 action film starring Chuck Norris and directed by Eric Karson. The movie is filmed in Los Angeles, California. Scott James (Chuck Norris) is a retired martial arts champion who gets hired as a bodyguard by a wealthy woman, Justine, (Karen Carlson). She is terrorized by a gang of ninjas. Scott James gets drawn closer to this international group of vicious ninjas and their training ground called 'The Octagon'. The ninjas are headed by Scott's longtime rival Tadashi Yamashita (Seikura), who is Scott's brother from his youthful days. He attempts to penetrate the group. Scott's life also consists of two reoccurring flashbacks. The first is childhood memories of the rigorous training he and a friend participated in under a martial arts leader. The second is of a mission that went bad and ended with him watching a friend murdered. As Scott gets closer to this group, he believes these men may have murdered his friend so many years ago. Scott must face the ninja leader and ninjas, the unholy masters of terror, to stop them.
