The Operative is a movie that stars Brian Bosworth as Alex Carville and Felix Grady. Carville is a CIA agent captured by the KGB while on assignment in Russia and admitted to a mental hospital. After several years in captivity, he is finally offered his freedom. The only catch is that he will be flown to the United States where he needs to pose as a different person (Felix Grady), collect a very expensive item that person made and deliver it back to the KGB agents in Russia. All things considered, the plan seems easy enough when the payment is freedom after so many years in captivity. But things begin to go horribly wrong when the person Carville is impersonating shows up at the delivery site to collect the item as well. Now he not only needs to try to escape from the Russians but also make an escape from the local police.
