The Over-The-Hill gang is a classic western comedy about four old and 'rusty' Texas Rangers. Captain Oren Hayes (Pat O'Brien) arrives at a small town in Nevada to visit his daughter whose husband is trying to run for town mayor. Upon arrival he faces trouble with the town's present mayor, Nard Lundy (Edward Andrews). Lundy, backed by the town's sheriff (Dennis Cross) and booze-soaked judge (Andy Devine), hires henchman to scare off Oren who is trying to make the election free and fair. Oren retaliates by enlisting the help of three of his friends from the Rangers. Nash Crowford (Walter Brennan), Jason Fitch (Edgar Buchanan), and George Agnew (Chill Wills) join Oren in his mission to bring law to the town but the four soon discover that their skills are not as good as they used to be. The four misfits have to come together to find a new means of thrawting Lundy.
