The Page Turner is a psychological thriller from 2006 that looks at a young woman's opportunities for revenge against a judge who ruined her chances at a musical career. Ten-year-old M''lanie (Julie Richalet) is a gifted pianist who gets a rare opportunity to sit for the Conservatory entrance exam. Her chances of being admitted are excellent, but one of the judges, Ariane Fouchecourt (Catherine Frot), caught up in her need to be in the spotlight, thoughtlessly signs an autograph for a fan during M''lanie's performance, which breaks M''lanie's concentration and causes her to fail. Years later, M''lanie (D''borah Fran''ois) secures a temporary position clerking for a wealthy lawyer, Monsieur Fouchecourt (Pascal Greggory), and offers to work as an au pair for his son Tristan (Antoine Martynchiow) during her vacation. Fouchecourt's wife is none other than Ariane, and M''lanie quickly insinuates herself into the family's daily life by caring for Tristan and becoming Ariane's trusted page turner for her piano concerts. M''lanie has created her opportunity for retaliation, but when and if she will seek revenge is uncertain.moreless
