The Perfect Sleep is a 2009 dramatic thriller directed by Jeremy Alter. An anonymous man (Anton Pardoe) returns to a city that is perpetually dark and hostile. Although he seems hardened and self-sufficient, it is clear that the protagonist will face many dangers in this place. The only reason that he has come back is to rescue his one true love, the beautiful Porphyria (Roselyn Sanchez). In a city that is constantly filled with shadows and enemies hiding in every corner, the man is still a force to be reckoned with. Even the maniacal villain, Dr. Sebastian (Tony Amendola), cannot seem to stop the protagonist in his quest. As the man journeys deeper and deeper into the city, his own dark and violent past is slowly revealed. It soon becomes clear that Porphyria is not the only thing that the man left behind in the city, which is full of ancient grudges and fatal secrets.
