The Perfect Witness is a 2007 psychological thriller by Director Thomas Dunn. In this suspenseful and frightening film, Mickey Gravatski (Wes Bentley) is a struggling filmmaker. Desperate for anything to help him make his mark, Gravatski's moral compass begins to waver. Thus when he inadvertently videotapes an infamous serial killer (Mark Borkowski) in the middle of committing murder, he does not turn the murderous criminal in. Instead, he uses the video footage to blackmail the killer into agreeing to be the subject of his new, disturbing documentary. In this chilling film about how far a man will go to make it, Dunn not only keeps viewers frozen in terror for the film's 100 minute long duration, but also raises the uncomfortable question of how far is too far and what success is worth. The Perfect Witness won the 2008 International Fantasy Film Award for Borkowski's realistic portrayal of a twisted murderer.
