The Pest, directed by Paul Miller, is a 1997 comedy about a Miami con man who is desperately trying to get out of a terrible situation. Pestario Vargas Rivera Garcia Picante Salsa Vargas, also known as "Pest," is a con man working in the Miami area who has a huge debt with the Scottish Mob. His deadline is up and the mob is looking for him. After a brutal run-in with mob henchmen, Pest tries to bargain with Angus (Charles Hallahan), the mob leader, but Angus tells him he and his family are dead on Wednesday if he does not pay his debt. Meanwhile, a Nazi, Gustav Shank (Jeffrey Jones), has come to town looking for an unsuspecting Latino to play a twisted game with him. Pest hears about Gustav's game and is interested in making some quick money, but he does not understand the requirements of the game.
