The Pleasure of Being Robbed is an independent, documentary film that is set in New York City and revolves around a con artist named Eleonore Hendricks. She is a thief, who will steal anything, from cars and purses, to wallets and food. On one occasion, Eleonore steals car keys and enlists the help of her friend, Josh Safdie. It is clear that Josh has feelings for her, and that he is fascinated with her lifestyle. Once they find the car that the stolen keys belong to, they decide to take a trip to Josh's hometown, Boston. The two bond on the way there and it appears that Eleonore is doubting her free spirited lifestyle. However, when she returns back to New York City, she gets arrested for a public raiding in the park. It is clear that Eleonore wants to change her life for the better, but can she do it?
