The Princess Stallion is a family film directed by Mark Haber that centers on young teen Sarah (Ariana Richards) whose life is turned upside down when her mother dies and she is sent to live with her estranged father, Ian (David Robb), in the Highlands of Scotland. Already mourning her mother, Sarah struggles with the move from her old life in California to her father's mountain home. Her only reprieve is the beautiful mountains she can explore. When Sarah meets Fergus (Andrew Kier), a hermit living in the mountains, she is shown all that her new home has to offer, especially with the beautiful wild white stallion running throughout the area. Fergus also teaches Sarah patience and dedication as he looks after hurt animals and destroying any traps he finds of hunters and poachers. Though her father disapproves of her relationship with the hermit, Sarah soon discovers that a pair of poachers has set their sights on her wild stallion.
