Movie Summary

Director:
Katt Shea
Released:
1999
Rating:

The Rage: Carrie 2 tells the tale of Rachel Lang (Emily Bergl), half-sister to the protaganist from the first film, Carrie White. After Rachel's mother is institutionalized, she moves to a small town to live with a foster family and attends the local high school. Rachel's best friend Lisa (Mena Suvari) is giddy with excitement after losing her virginity to Eric (Zachery Ty Bryan), a football player. Rachel learns that the football players sleep with girls to earn points. Eric's fling with Lisa was nothing more than a game. When Lisa learns the truth, she commits suicide by jumping from the school's roof. Feelings of loss and rage overcome Rachel and trigger her latent telekinetic powers, causing all the lockers in the school to fly open. Rachel tries to go unnoticed, but, now that Lisa is gone, the football players turn their attentions to her. With the help of school counselor Sue Snell (Amy Irving), Rachel tries to master her powers and emotions but it might not be enough to stop another high school massacre.
