The Ravagers is a science fiction drama produced in 1979 by Cinecorp Productions. Richard Compton, known for such television shows as "Baywatch" (1989), "Babylon 5" (1994), and "The X-Files" (2000), directs this post-apocalyptic film about a world divided and ruled by two gangs called the Ravagers and the Flockers. It stars Richard Harris, Art Carney, Anthony James, Ann Turkel, and has a cameo by Ernest Borgnine. The main character, Falk (Richard Harris), lives in an abandoned steel mill with his wife Miriam (Alana Stewart), when they are viciously attacked by a bloodthirsty gang, called the Ravagers, led by Anthony James. Falk manages to kill a few Ravagers, and they vow to kill him. In his quest to seek revenge, Falk finds Kramer (Art Carney), who is setting on a stockpile of food and weapons at a deserted army base. They soon meet up with Faina (Ann Turkel) who talks of a wonderful place called Genesis, a place where life has begun anew. They soon come across a couple of abandoned ships, where a community led by Rann (Ernest Borgnine) has made remarkable progress in their effort to rebuild, but will taking Falk in lead to their demise?moreless
