The Rescue is a 1988 action-adventure film directed by Ferdinand Fairfax. Four Navy SEALs, including Commander Howard (Charles Haid) and Commander Merrill (Edward Albert), are sent on an elite mission to dispose of a risky American submarine. Although the mission seems to be successful, a sudden enemy attack by North Korea leaves the SEALs stranded and helpless. Even the US government is hesitant to intervene and save the captured heroes. The situation seems grim, but when the SEALs' teenage children accidentally hear about the life-or-death situation, they decide to take matters into their own hands. Max (Marc Price), Shawn (Ned Vaughn), Adrian (Christine Harnos) and J.J. (Kevin Dillion) join forces and use their wits to rescue their fathers from North Korean forces. Navigating through danger-filled territory isn't easy for four teenagers and an unexpected young stowaway (Ian Giatti), and it soon becomes clear that the teenagers will have to use all their strength and cunning to survive and save their fathers.moreless
