The Return of the Pink Panther is a 1975 detective comedy and the fourth film in the Pink Panther series, featuring another brilliant performance from comic legend Peter Sellers. Sellers plays Inspector Jacques Clouseau, the bumbling French detective who leaves a trail of hilarious destruction in his wake as he strives to solve the greatest mysteries of the day. In this installment, the famed Pink Panther diamond has once again been stolen, and Clouseau is assigned to the case. Herbert Lom returns as Chief Inspector Charles Dreyfus, the man plagued with the responsibility of maintaining a police force under constant threat from the antics of Inspector Clouseau. Christopher Plummer replaces David Niven in the role of Sir Charles Litton, the jewel thief known as The Phantom. As Clouseau accidentally outwits a gang of assassins sent to keep him from uncovering the truth behind the famous diamond's theft, the Chief Inspector tries to rid himself of the idiot detective once and for all.
