Movie Summary

Director:
Peter Berg
Released:
2003
Rating:
PG-13

Beck is a bounty hunter who has decided to quit his profession and open a restaurant. His boss, Billy Walker asks him to do one last job -- to go to the Amazon jungle and locate his son, Travis, who has gotten himself into trouble. Beck agrees and heads to the South American town, El Dorado, a town owned and run by a man named Hatcher. Hatcher controls almost every person in town due to his control over the town's commerce. Travis goes into the jungle to look for Gato, an ancient artifact that has the ability to free the townspeople of Hatcher's control. Beck is able to find Travis and agrees to let him find Gato before returning home. However, a set of circumstances, including a group of rebels led by a woman named Marianna, may stand in the way of Travis and Beck getting out of the jungle alive.
