The Scarlet Clue is a 1945 Charlie Chan movie that has the detective (Sidney Toler) on a case that takes him to a radio station where soap actors are creating havoc and a killer is among them. Potential suspects are the soap opera owner (Virginia Brissac), the station manager (I. Stanford Jolley), a spoiled actress (Janet Shaw) and a Swedish vixen (Victoria Faust). Not helping matters are Chan's bumbling sidekicks, Birmingham (Mantan Moreland) and Tommy (Benson Fong), who add to the chaos.
