The Search for Mengele is a dark and intriguing 1985 documentary film which chronicles the life and deeds of Nazi doctor Josef Mengele. Made in 1985 by Brian Moser, The Search for Mengele traces Mengele's life all the way back to childhood, where we are allowed an opportunity to infer what experiences or people might have impacted the villainous doctor to commit such horrendous crimes during the war in his later life. Then Moser paints a picture of the atrocious crimes Mengele is notoriously known for which included experimenting on children. It was not long before he assumed the title "Angel of Death". The film also includes several in-depth interviews with those who knew him during good times and bad. In effect, Moser craftily depicts the life of a man who's actions will never be forgotten. The Search for Mengele is a great watch for all those interested in documentary film and World War II.
