The Secret Kingdom

Movie Summary

Director:
David Schmoeller
Released:
1998
Rating:
PG
The Secret Kingdom is an imaginative, fantastic science fiction film about a miniature kingdom that exists beneath a suburban kitchen sink. When their parents go out of town, siblings Zachary (Andrew Ducote), Mark (Billy O'Sullivan) and Callie Fremont (Tricia Dickson) stumble upon the kingdom of Relkin, a tiny civilization of humanoids that has existed for years in the Fremont's kitchen. The stunned trio is soon drawn into a world of political intrigue and deadly combat, and must choose sides when Relkin erupts into civil war. The tiny, technologically advanced kingdom employs energy transformers that allow the Relkians to communicate with human walkie-talkies and to travel back and forth between Relkin and the rest of Earth. This technology also allows the Fremont children to visit the magical realm, where they soon make friends and must make life-changing decisions about where their allegiances truly lie. The Secret Kingdom is a highly entertaining and visually impressive film that will delight children and adults!
