The Secret of Santa Vittoria is a World War II comedy about one town's stand against the Nazis. German forces have taken over the small town of Santa Vittoria in Italy. Scared that their livelihood will be taken from them, the townspeople quickly hide a million bottles of wine in a cave. Shortly after they finish hiding the wine, a German army unit arrives, led by Sepp Von Prum (Hardy Kruger). The town gives the Germans a couple thousand bottles of wine, but Von Prum becomes frustrated, knowing there is more. He threatens the life of Italo, saying if the townspeople do not tell the truth, he will kill their mayor.
