The Secrets of Jonathan Sperry was released in 2008 and directed by Rich Christiano. It is set in the 1970s in a small town and revolves around the relationships an old man, Jonathan Sperry (Gavin MacLeod), forms with three best friends. Dustin (Jansen Panettiere), Albert (Frankie Ryan Manriquez) and Mark (Allen Isaacson) are inseparable, and always look out for each other. One day, Dustin is mowing his neighbor's lawn and ends up meeting the old man for the first time. What follows affects Dustin and his friends lives forever. Sperry befriends the boys and teaches the ways of a born-again Christian. They must deal with a mean-spirited bully, Nick (Taylor Boggan), who tries to draw their wrath, a girl that one of the boys likes and other temptations of sin. The lasting impression that Jonathan Sperry has on the boys creates three new people who are devoted and faithful servants of Jesus.
