The Sheriff of Fractured Jaw is a 1958 Western about English gentleman who gets appointed sheriff of a rowdy town. Jonathan Tibbs (Kenneth More), the son of a family of English gunsmiths comes to America to tap into the violence of the American West. After thwarting an Indian attack on his stagecoach, Tibbs ends up in the lawless town of Fractured Jaw. The Box T and Lazy S cattle outfits are in the midst of a range war over water rights. With the help of beautiful saloon owner Kate (Jayne Mansfield), who hears about his heroism, Tibbs is made sheriff. Now that Tibbs is in charge, he and Kate are forced to fight off the town bad guys who now want him dead. After gaining favor with the local Indian tribe, Tibbs has more backing to help him ward off gunmen. Tibbs must try to strike a deal with the warring factions so that peace is finally restored to the town.moreless
