The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde is the 2006 adaptation of the famous novel by Robert Louis Stevenson. Through experiments on monkeys, Dr. Jekyll (Henry Todd) has found a cure for heart disease. When he tries the cure on himself for his own heart trouble, the side effect causes him to turn into the violent madman, Mr. Hyde. Mr. Hyde relishes brutally raping and murdering his female victims. Dr. Jekyll cunningly hides his double life from everyone, including his girlfriend, Whitney Weddings (Danielle Nicolet). Detective Karen Utterson (Tracy Scroggins) is on the case as the body count begins to rise. As Dr. Jekyll tries to hide his identity from society, he also feels remorse for the horrible actions of his schizophrenic counterpart whose crimes have shocked the community. Even the coroner (Tim Thomerson) claims that the murders could not have been committed by a human being. As Dr. Jekyll's life spins out of control through the actions of Mr. Hyde, he decides to do what is best in order to save his own soul.moreless
