The Street Crusade is the winner of the 2008 Campus MovieFest in the Social Justice category. It is a short five-minute documentary narrating how former gang members transform their lives after spending most of their youth living on the streets and ending up in jail. The movie was created by four students from Emerson College who interviewed former gang members and took a look at how various groups of people are helping them start anew with their lives, away from the life of a gangster. These groups of people are helping these former gang members to once again build hope for themselves to live better lives someday after believing in their gang's promises of wealth and fame that have made their lives miserable in the end. This is a short but very inspirational documentary that calls for its viewers to participate and help other afflicted gang members succeed in building a better life ahead.
