After ingratiating himself with Stiles (Richard Widmark), the leader of the gang, Cordell assists the band of criminals as they plan and prepare for a complicated high-stakes robbery. Shortly after Cordell leaks the plans to the FBI, Stiles uncovers the truth about his identity. Enraged and embarrassed that he had placed so much trust in a mole, Stiles decides to modify the plans for the robbery and ensure that Cordell is killed during it. The hunter has become the hunted, and the special agent is seriously out-manned and out-gunned. Now Agent Cordell must use all of his intelligence and cunning to escape the heist with his life!
