The Swan Princess is a 1994 animated family fantasy film by director Richard Rich, starring Jack Palance, Howard McGillin, and Michelle Nicastro. As children, young Prince Derek (Adam Wylie) and young Princess Odette (Adrian Zahiri) are forced to spend what they consider to be entirely too much time together. Their parents hope that, over time, their animosity will wear off and the two will fall in love. As chances happen, that is exactly what happens-that is, until the adult Prince Derek (Howard McGillin) offends the adult Princess Odette (Michelle Nicastro), who then refuses to marry him until he proves that he truly loves her and not just her beauty. When the evil sorcerer, Lord Rothbart (Jack Palance), kills Odette's father, King William (Dakin Matthews), and kidnaps Odette, placing a curse on her that turns her into a swan by day, it is up to Prince Derek to see through the exterior and save his bride-to-be before it is too late. The Swan Princess was nominated for five 1995 Young Artist Awards, a 1995 Golden Globe Award, a 1995 Artios Award, and a 1995 Annie Award.moreless

I love this movie. It has excellent animation that gives off a Disney feel to it and holds the same feeling of wonder and magic you would get from 90s Disney. It has an awesome cast of characters and really great songs, such as Far Longer Than Forever.

One disappointment was the sequels got a little weaker and weaker until it came crashing down with The Swan Princess Christmas.
