The Terror is 1963 film that was set in 1806 France. In the film, a French soldier, Andre Duvalier (Jack Nicholson) is separated from his troop and finds himself lost in the wilderness. He is saved by beautiful woman named Helene (Sandra Knight) and ends up at a castle. The woman he met looks remarkably similar to a picture of the Baron's (Boris Karloff) wife Ilsa, except that she has been dead for nearly 20 years. Andre believing something weird is happening in the home begins to investigate who this woman is. He is able to get the Baron to admit that years earlier he had found his wife with another man named Eric and in a jealous rage he killed them both. The Baron continues to tell Andre that since their deaths, a witch named Katrina (Dorothy Neumann) has sent back the spirit of Ilsa to torture him. Things quickly start to unravel and the guilt ridden Baron is on the brink of suicide, but there are secrets that no one knows. Is there time to stop another tragedy from happening?moreless
