The Thomas Crown Affair is a 1968 heist caper starring Steve McQueen and Faye Dunaway in a sophisticated game of cat and mouse. Thomas Crown (Steve McQueen) may already have made himself a millionaire, but he wants to leave behind the 9-to-5 executive life and live in a tropical paradise. He masterminds a brilliant bank robbery with Erwin Weaver (Jack Weston) and his gang. The plan works perfectly and Crown walks away from the heist with $3 million and change. He knows the insurance company will cover the loss. The insurer does not like to write such large checks so they bring in investigator Vicky Anderson (Faye Dunaway), the best in the business, to track down the case. Vicky pieces together the inside knowledge required for the crime, which leads her to Crown. She keeps an eye on him and keeps turning up at his social events in Rio and then his bed. Can Crown know whether Vicky is gathering evidence or falling in love?
