The Tiger's Tail is an Irish comedic crime drama written and directed by John Boorman that premiered at the 2007 Palm Springs International Film Festival. The title refers to Ireland's economic boom of 1995-2008 that was deemed, "The Celtic Tiger", which is also the setting for the film. Modest Irishman, Liam O'Leary (Brendan Gleeson), is a property developer that is becoming rich and powerful amidst the economic boom. Using his clout and cunning, Liam plots to build a national stadium. Unfortunately, he is thwarted by a mysterious rival property developer, and exhausts his resources trying to build his dream. When things only seem to be getting worse, Liam catches a glimpse of his rival. The man is a twin of Liam. Without any interaction, Liam eventually tells his wife Jane (Kim Cattrall) of his doppleganger. Along with Liam's son Connor (Briain Gleeson), Jane feels that it was only a hallucination. Past distance with his family leaves them all hopeless, except Liam's sister Oona (Sinead Cusack) and childhood friend Andy (Ciaran Hinds). Can Liam make it through his foggy memory to defeat himself?moreless
