The Tigger Movie is a 2000 Disney animated comedy drama directed by Jun Falkenstein and narrated by John Hurst. In the film, the Hundred Acre characters, Winnie-the-Pooh (Jim Cummings), Tigger (Jim Cummings), Roo (Nikita Hopkins), Rabbit (Ken Sansom), Piglet (John Fielder), Owl (Andre Stojka), and Kanga (Kath Soucie) are very busy preparing Eeyore's (Peter Cullen) home for winter. Eeyore's house needs a lot of work before the sad donkey can safely live in the home and his friends have already completed several projects. Tigger is very excited about the project, so he is doing what he does best; bouncing. Unfortunately, some of the other characters aren't excited about his bouncing and they let him know. Feeling rejected, Tigger leaves and begins to wander around Hundred Acre woods. As he walks around, he decides his friends just don't understand him or appreciate how special bouncing abilities. With this in mind, he sets out to find others like himself.

Metacritic Score

  • 50

The New York Times Dana Stevens

An adequate piece of children's entertainment, though it seems better suited for home viewing...than for the big screen.

  • 40

    Los Angeles Times

Parents and older siblings...may grow impatient with the uneven execution that weakens the genuine charm the film sporadically exhibits.

  • 40

    Variety Todd McCarthy

By far the least ambitious, and certainly the least interesting, animated feature to come out of Disney in quite some time.
