The Truth About Demons is a gory horror film about a professor who has a harder time than he previously anticipated when setting out to defraud a cult. After involvement in a Satanic cult caused his brother to commit suicide, anthropology professor Henry Ballard (Karl Urban) has dedicated his life to studying the occult, revealing the truths and dispelling myths about their relevance and validity. So when he receives a threatening video sent to him from Le Valliant (Jonathon Hendry), a cultist leader that is coming after him, the fearless Ballard scoffs at such a notion. However, when he is abducted by Satanists and framed for the brutal death of his girlfriend, his laughs turn to panic. Fearful and running for both his life and his sanity, Ballard hits the streets for any kind of answer, finding solace in the surprising calm of a borderline schizophrenic former cult member named Benny (Katie Wolfe). With her help, Ballard begins to open up and try and learn about this dark world that has engulfed him, as he continues his path toward survival. Glenn Standring writes and directs this gritty low budget thrill ride of terror.moreless
