The Unborn (Unrated) is a horror film about a dybukk, or malicious spirit, that haunts a young woman named Casey Beldon (Odette Yustman). The spirit first comes to Casey in her dreams, leading her to questions about the parameters of her birth. Her father informs her that she is a twin and that her twin brother was stillborn. In her search for answers, Casey visits a holocaust survivor, Sofi Kozma (Jane Alexander), who is also a twin. Time is short as she begins to explain the nature of this apparition to Casey. After consulting Rabbi Sendak (Gary Oldman), Casey comes to the realization that an exorcism is the only solution to banish the demon from the mortal world. As the evil dybukk grows stronger, he regains the ability to possess the minds of the weak or young. The demon begins to use these and other supernatural abilities to dispatch any who would stand between him and Casey.
