The Underground is a 1997 action/adventure movie directed by Cole McKay. In this film, Brian Donnegan (Jeff Fahey) and Tim Scully (Ken Tigar) are two buddy cops who work for the Los Angeles Police Department. The two men are in the middle of a huge murder investigation. Recently, several rap stars have been murdered. The two men along with the rest of the police feel the murders are actually assassinations. During the investigation, Donnegan's partner Scully is murdered. Donnegan is convinced that Scully was murdered because the men were getting close to solving the rap star murders. Refusing to give up on solving the murders of the rappers and his best friend, Donnegan is prepared to put his career and his life on the line. To acccomplish this he will need the help of rookie cop, Michael McFall (Clarence Mills). Together, the cops will try to solve the murders and give Donnegan the closure that he needs.
