The Uninvited is a 2009 horror film. It is a remake of a South Korean film called A Tale of Two Sisters. The Uninvited centers around Anna (Emily Browning), a usually nice girl, who was put in a mental institution after her ill mother passed away in a fire. Anna continuously has dreams of the fire, with a twist; three strange children were involved. After spending ten months in the institution, Anna is being released. She is reunited with her father Steven (David Strathairn) and her sister Alex (Arielle Kebbel). The two sisters have always been suspicious of their father's girlfriend Rachel (Elizabeth Banks), who was also their mother's nurse. Anna tells Alex about the strange dreams she has been having and the sisters begin to wonder if the dreams are a sign from their mother, telling them that Rachel was responsible for the fire that killed her. The sisters are on a mission to discover the truth. What happens throughout the rest of the film is shocking.
