Movie Summary

Jean-Paul Ouellette
Released:
1988
Rating:

The Unnamable is a classic 80s horror film about a monster living in an abandoned house. It has been 300 years since the Winthrops gave birth to a horrible demon so hideous that they couldn't bring themselves to name it, and as legend has it, the hideous creature is still lurking inside the Winthrop house, deep in the woods. Out to prove the rumblings wrong, a group of six college students, led by geeky Randolph Carter (Mark Kinsey Stephenson), spend the night in the supposedly haunted house. But it doesn't take very long to find out that there may be some truth to the stories after all. Realizing they are not alone, the curious college kids fight for their lives against the disgusting, menacing creature that can only be known as The Unnamable. Jean-Paul Ouellette directs this terror filled gore fest, adapted from the frightening short story by H.P. Lovecraft.
