The Viking Sagas, starring former Mr. Universe, Ralf Moeller, follows the epic adventure of a Viking warrior, Kjartan (Ralf Moeller), who is determined to get revenge for the death of his father. The movie showcases beautiful picturesque scenes and is directed by Oscar nominated cinematographer Michael Chapman. The story begins with Kjartan fleeing from the hands of his evil nemesis, Ketil (Hinrik Olafsson), and his men who have surrounded the surviving warriors from Kjartan's Icelandic village that include his father. His father helps him to find an escape route and instructs Kjartan to find Gunnar (Sven-Ole Thorsen) the best swordsman in the east who can teach him this skill so that he can defeat Ketil. Kjartan escapes with the ghost sword, and Ketil continues to pursue him stating that he can not rule the conquered lands of Iceland while he is alive. Along his travels, Kjartan seeks help and safe harbor from many of his fellow countrymen while trying to avoid death. Eventually, Kjartan and Ketil's paths must cross again with the stakes being high for Kjartan as he seeks to save his people and culture from this evil foe.moreless
