The Waiting Game is a romance drama adapted from the Harlequin novel series that shows how lies and deceit can ultimately lead to love. College roommates Sarah Frazer (Chandra West) and Amy Fuentes (Paula Abdul) own an art gallery, where things are pretty much normal, that is until Sahara's Uncle Lowell (Art Hindle) drops by for a visit. Lowell is carrying a box and asks his niece to take care of it for a while. Sara's suspicious fianc'' Matt (Jonathan Crombie) doesn't like the idea since he never believed her uncle was just a diplomat. Sarah heads out to Lowell's ranch with Amy to return the box, where they meet handsome Adrian (Chris Potter), a repairman who stopped by to fix her uncle's computer. Lowell is found nowhere, and the group spends the day looking for him. Both Sarah and Amy show interest in Chris after they meet Carl (John Pyper-Ferguson), a real estate investor who is also looking for Lowell. The girls start to suspect that Adrian and Carl are impostors after Amy overhears the guys talking to a CIA agent. When the four finally find Uncle Lowell hidden in a cabin and sending emails under the code name Joshua, the girls and the viewers need to sort the good guys from the bad ones.moreless
