The Whole Nine Yards is a dark, mafia comedy starring Bruce Willis, Rosanna Arquette, Matthew Perry, and Amanda Peet. The film centers around a nervous dentist who finds himself in quite a dangerous pickle thanks to his neighbor with a criminal background. Nicholas "Oz" Oseransky (Matthew Perry) is less than satisfied with his life - Sophie (Rosanna Arquette), his wife, treats him terribly and his father-in-law has left him with an outrageous amount of debt which he must pay off. His situation changes when an ex hitman from Chicago, Jimmy "The Tulip" Tudeski (Bruce Willis) moves in next door. When Sophie learns that Jimmy is in hiding because he testified against his mob, she urges Oz to kill him for the reward. But Oz, a neurotic man, is reluctant to kill his neighbor and knows there is more to Jimmy than meets the eye. With the help of his cheerful assistant Jill (Amanda Peet), Oz and Jimmy attempt to thwart the efforts of multiple mobsters who want them all dead.
