The Wild Thornberrys Movie is a made for TV movie that follows Nickelodeon's beloved Thornberrys through an African safari. The movie centers around the youngest daughter of the Thornberry family, Eliza (Lacey Chabert), and her ability to talk to animals. She finds out that because of a shaman she is able to talk to animals, and as long as she doesn't tell anyone about her gift it will last until she dies. Drama begins when Eliza finds out that poachers are setting out to kill a herd of elephants with an electric fence in the Serengeti Desert, and Eliza sets out to stop the poachers and save the elephants. Along with her chimpanzee best friend Darwin, she goes on fun adventures and uses her special gift to communicate with different animal species all throughout the desert. She's got to find a way to stop the poachers without letting anyone in on her secret.
